2016 and an empty shopping cart

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and Happy new year! 2016 was supposed to be my Australian books only year but after perusing Goodreads, I've found way too many international titles I want to read. However I will still be mainly showcasing Australian YA works on this blog.

Now that it's time for me to select my first titles to purchase for the year and I'm at a loss. There are so many books on my to read list. I discovered some books set around the world of roller derby, which is really exciting for me as I tried out this sport (it wasn't for me but I love skating). One title I hope to tackle is Roller Girls love Robby Knight by Micheal Wayne Hampton.

There is an Australian book I've thought about reading but always chicken out of reading. That's Fairytales for Wilde Girls by Allyse Near. It's got a really unique layout not at all like your typical novel. If you've read it please let me know how scary it was.

So I come back to my wishlist and my cart is still empty as I ponder which books to put in my cart. I'm cashed up (Santa gives cash at my place. Thank you Santa!) so you know what, let's have a splurge (so unlike me. I delibertate every purchase I make, 'tis the life of a poor uni student), let's get a few Australian novels and a few international titles. I'll make a post when they arrive and it will be like Christmas morning all over again!
